ABOUT OCCUDOX
Occudox (formerly Iilonga Health) has been involved in occupational medicine for the past 9 years. We provide specialist occupational health expertise and a full range of medical services. We help businesses and individuals identify, alleviate and manage health risks.
The company is well versed in seafarer and industrial medicals and recently acquired qualifications to do aviation medicals (class 1 & 2) as well as offshore energies UK medicals (OEUK). We boast Walvis Bay's biggest fishing companies as our clients, including well-known engineering and transport companies.
DR. LEONIE VAN ZYL

Dr Leonie van Zyl was born in Windhoek as a proud Namibian. She completed her medical degree at the University of Stellenbosch and returned to Namibia to work in Usakos and Karibib for 10 years as a General Practitioner.
With the Navachab Mine in the Karibib area, she gained experience in the industrial and mining medical fields which she found extremely interesting. She decided to further her studies and completed a postgraduate diploma in Occupational Health at the University of Cape Town.
In 2014 Dr. Leonie qualified as an Occupational Health Practitioner and relocated to Walvis Bay, the industrial hub of Namibia, where she has gained experience in the fishing and mining industries.
Dr. Leonie recently attended the Aviation Medical Examiner's course at Sefako Magatho Health Sciences University in Johannesburg and was registered as a designated aviation medical examiner in 2022 which allows her to conduct aviation medicals on pilots.
